So yesterday was my 8th straight going to the gym and I could definitely tell that my body needed a little bit of a rest. I ended up taking it pretty easy because I was feeling so lethargic so I did:
- 20 min walking on incline
- 7 minutes on bike w/ resistence (I couldn’t make it to 10)
- Tricep Pull-downs-3 sets of 10
- Bicep Curls-3 sets of 10
- Some shoulder workout (Don’t know what it’s called) 3 sets of 10
- I tried to do some ab exercises at home but really just ended up catching myself laying on the floor watching TV 🙂
I actually tried to run a little bit on the treadmill! I’d go for like a minute or two and then walk again–I know that I can push myself and run a little bit longer–MUST push myself!
When I got home from the gym I made an awesome egg white omelet with fresh spinach–it was yummy! OH and I tried my 1st actual Green Monster that I read about on Oh She Glows Blog! I used:
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup Almond Breeze Original Unsweetened
- Some Spinach
It was SOOO good! I really didn’t think it’d be that tasty, but boy was I surprised! I think I need to find more stuff to add to it, like some flax, and maybe I’ll try Kale one of these days and some PB! But I used what I had on hand and loved it! 🙂
Unfortunatly I tried something this weekend that I am NOT a fan of! TOFU! I really wanted to like it–I really did! I’m not a picky eater at all and am open to eat just about anything (except cole slaw–I have a HUGE aversion to cole slaw YUCK) But there was something about the consistency OR the taste, I couldn’t really decide, that I just didn’t like. I ended up baking it in some honey and EVOO and putting it into a WW wrap with some spinach and Hummus.
This was it! It looked pretty and delicious, just like anything I would like to eat. I just don’t know! Maybe it was the way I cooked it, maybe not long enough or too long–I’m definitely going to give it another try though and look up a recipe because it’s really not that I find something I don’t like!
