I love Thursdays…so close to the weekend! 🙂
Soooo I’ve been trying to lose the few pounds that I’ve put on since I quit smoking. Not trying to drop them too quickly or anything, just want them gone sometime in the NEAR future as some of my jeans are gettin just a little snug. Well like I said, I’ve been keeping track of my calorie intake on a website and it seems like I might not be meeting my calorie requirements for the day! Could this be why I don’t feel that I’ve been losing any weight? Or maybe things aren’t adding up right on when I log them. Anyway, I’m officially going to start trying to take pictures throughout the day of what I’m putting in my mouth so I can include the mindless snacking that I occasionally don’t add! 🙂
Last night I experimented with a vegan Boca Burger
I used to have a friend who would make these all the time while she was on th South Beach Diet–she’d heat it up and eat it with some mustard. It looked like a quick simple snack and it really is quite easy to make and definitely yummy! I smothered some goat cheese on top of it and made a delicious egg white omelet to eat with it. I then washed it all down with a delicious Green Monster! 🙂 My mix was the usual: Almond Milk, Banana, Spinach.
The past fe days I’ve been feeling like I might be coming down with something–I’ve had a sore throat and some stuffiness! Well last night I was just feeling so lethargic and SO not in the mood to work out! However, the night before was technically my day “off” because I had to study and take a test, so I was determined to work it out! I don’t know WHAT got into me! It seems as though every time I’m not in the mood to workout, I do more than I would on a normal day when I’m feeling totally up to par! So here is what I did:
- No More Trouble Zones–I initially started doing it at home to just get myself a little warmed up before the gym but somehow managed to do most of the video.
- Treadmill-30 min. walking on Incline
- Some core work on the Ball
- 3 sets Bicep Curls
- 3 sets Triceps
- Leg Exercises
- More squats on top of the massive amounts in Jillian’s video
Ok so maybe I overdid it for someone who wasn’t feeling well BUT I felt AMAZING afterwards! It was just what I needed and I’m very glad that I did it.
OH I bought some Kale last night to add to the smoothies, I’m going to try it today before the gym so I’ll report back on that! lol Hopefully I like it as much as the spinach!
When I got home from the gym I was pretty hungry for a snack but wasn’t sure what to have–I ended up just picking at some stuff while getting my lunch ready for today.
